Coming Back

Hopefully, there will be at least one person still left here. I didn't have much to say for the last few months or I didn't think anyone cared. But the blogger identity crisis is done and over with and this little place is still not ready to retire. It's a nice feeling to write a post and hit Publish again. Thank you if you are still here and to celebrate the comeback I give you some cats.

Cat Ears

So, it was finally snowing for a while yesterday, hence the exclusive view of our balcony. I made this cat hat, inspired by this post on pretty.little.world. I decided to wear it when I'm going to the bank or any other similarly serious place, since I'm getting extremely annoyed that many people think that I'm about 15 and a half years old. This is my weird way of trying to be taken seriously (I know I am doing it wrong). I'm sure though that I'll be very happy about that when I am 78 and that I'm going to bore people with that story old lady style.

A skirt and a... winter?

If you live around here you'll agree with me that we are confused. Santa came and left, there was Christmas, New Year and all that, but shouldn't it be winter now?... Mmmmm, not so much. Well, I decorated, prepared my winter boots, I even made some resolutions (and managed to get the *loose the holiday weight* and *drink 8 glasses of water* in the first week by getting sick, completely losing appetite and living on soup, tea and water for a few days). And yes, I kind of have no idea where I am going with this post. These pictures- it was Decembar and I was in my summery skirt and spring jacket and I have no idea how to feel about that. I mean, it's fine dressing wise but how long I can go without a snowflake, that's a million *type in desired currency* question.

P.S. *GIVEAWAY* unfortunately, for the Balkan readers only.

It's ON

I am now officially warning you that things are changing over here, things are getting serious, people. New Year is getting closer meaning that glitter is lurking around every corner. No more hiding. We are starting with serious actions, today. Choose your weapons people, scissors, glue, glitter, wrapping paper, ribbons.
I'm giving you some helpful links for holiday inspired DIYs. And I'm going to go now and attack everything that moves or doesn't move with glitter, resistance is futile. And you can inform me about your progress.

Mission 1
Mission 2
Mission 3

P.S. The cat is here for the sole purpose of distracting you from your tasks, just to check the devotion to your mission.

Lazy Saturday

What's better than spending Saturday cat style (sleeping, rolling around, scratching pillows), then title myself laziest person in the world, but only on Saturdays (maybe Sundays and holidays, too). But not to overdo it with laziness maybe work on some professional daydreaming...

* So if it wasn't for this little thing called fall, this is what I would like to wear, head to toe, especially toes, 'cause those blue shoes are...

* And then some dreams coming true...

* And, well, since it is spring somewhere, why not visit the south hemisphere...

* Reality is that most of the time I'm doing this. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, as long as it's warm...

And how's your Saturday?

111111 (One Friday)

I'm going to use this opportunity to mark the eleventh minute of the eleventh hour of this special day, 11/11/11, and pronounce it the minute-for-not-working........ there, I hope you used this time wisely. And I'm just going to add TGIF, a special day indeed.

One more thing, I'm not really liking all this November/fall atmosphere. I'll admit it, the colours are nice, they go well with my boots (the ones I wore to the book fair, but weren't in the pictures). September and October were much nicer and they smelled of roasted peppers here in Belgrade, and now November smells of smog. And the wind... just dare to go out, and if you do, don't bother doing your hair beforehand. Last week I wore sunnies, even though it was cloudy, to protect my eyes from all the dust. Then I met a friend and he said: -You look really popular like that! So there you have it, just match your shoes and sunnies to November and you're good to go. (If this guy only new what I had looked like just an hour earlier crocheting this little hat in my pjs and funny socks.)

And how's November treating you?

At the End of the Universe

What does Salvador Dali have in common with Douglas Adams and a black cat with a white spot on the tip of his tail?
Me.

There is a Salvador Dali Corner in Belgrade. I’d say it’s a prime real estate spot. Dali’s corner - my home, first neighbour – Amélie Poulain, air conditioning – blue propeller.

And the pet? What should you do if a black cat with a white tip of the tail crosses your path? Adopt it. It should be the opposite of bad luck, right? And I should know about black cats. Though it might work the opposite way for me since I raised one black cat, and passed two exams thanks to black cat magic. But as far as I’m concerned only cat physics applies to Dali’s corner.

In the end, prime spot on the book shelf - five separate books of Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy* from 1980. So far I only have one of those 5, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Long time ago I found all five but didn’t have the money to buy them. I wasn’t even aware they used to be published separately and I felt so bad that I couldn’t buy them. Last year I found this one part at the Belgrade Book Fair** and that was the start of a mission – I shall have them all, sooner or later, and only then will my mansion at the Dali’s corner become a perfect home.

*I consider this book best book in the world and it will get a separate post
**Belgrade Book Fair happens once a year and it’s even more important than my birthday, it also gets a separate post

Attitude Cat

Look at this cat. You probably can't tell but he is actually sitting on a bike, a kawasaki or something like that, a very big bike. That's where he got the attitude from. Picture taken by the b-friend.

Thursday is a cat day

This is one of the very nice and friendly Belgrade cats that made my morning after I got up at 5 am and spent 2 hours on the train station waiting for some relatives to arrive. As I was dragging my zombie feet deprived of sleep and coffee down the street I almost fell over this cat and she frowned upon me and fixed me with her stern green stare demanding to be petted. And I am never to tired to pet a willing street cat, trust me, never!

In other news I scored a deal of the (century) fall yesterday. I bought a brand new army green parka in a second hand store for 9,99e. It’s 100% cotton and it has a hidden hoody in the collar that’s neon green which I discovered only when I got home and felt as if I got a cake with my jacket (yeah, I like cake as much as second hand stores). Now I just might pluck up the courage for the (semi) outfit post to show it off… maybe…
